R&B duo Silk Sonic, composed of Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak sat down with Elvis Duran and the Morning Show in the Mercedes-Benz Interview Lounge to chat all about their upcoming album, An Evening with Silk Sonic.
Bruno Mars described making the album in the middle of the pandemic, “Me and Andy’s shows were cancelled and for a while there it felt like we were never going to play a show again. So, we came up with this fantasy show hosted by Bootsy Collins. Me and Andy were in the studio trying to out-sing each other, out-write each other and out-perform each other on our instruments and giving it all we got. It was like a friendly competition meets camaraderie and we just wanted to be ambitious... We hope people get this feeling that when you close your eyes, me and Andy are in your living room or car jamming."
