This is the first time I’m talking about a TV show for Feel Goods, but listener Kenneth Harris is a huge Broadway fan, as are all of us here, and he is over the moon for what Law & Order: SVU is doing!
Broadway has been shut down since last March, and that’s a huge number of employees. Some from New York, some who relocated to follow their dream, and they’ve all basically been completely without work.
SO, Law & Order: SVU showrunner Warren Leight announced that they are going to hire as many Broadway actors as possible, while they “wait for the curtains to rise again.”
In an upcoming episode they even have our friend Alex Brightman AKA Beetlejuice coming on!
Thank you to everyone responsible for this, it’s so nice to see artists looking out for other artists, and thank you Kenneth for the story!
