16 year old me would be screaming...22 year old me is still screaming.
If I had a magic time machine and could transport back to the days of me buying Tiger Beat magazines just because they had pictures of the One Direction boys in them, and if I told my younger self that I would eventually meet TWO OUT OF FOUR of the band members, I would have probably laughed out of disbelief in my own face.
Here's the thing, interning for now 6 months with the Elvis Duran Morning Show, I have seen and interacted with my fair share of celebrities. I have started to realize that these people are just people who happen to be really talented and have accomplished many amazing things. Of course it is still SO exciting when somebody comes into the studio, I will never get over it, but I have trained myself to be professional. I don't want to embarrass myself, even though more than half the time I am freaking out! All of my internal pep talks of being cool go out the window with the mention of any of the One Direction boys coming into the studio.
Finding out that LIAM PAYNE was coming in with RITA ORA to promote their new single 'For You' from 50 Shades Freed, my heart started to beat like a 16 year old whose crush just snapchatted them first (hint that's a pretty fast heartbeat). I got to film Rita and Liam playing 50 Shades of Grey Trivia with Elvis and it was hysterical! Afterwards, Brody was the absolute BEST (thank you thank you) and asked if I was allowed to get a picture with the both of them. They said yes and it was my moment to tell Liam how much he means to me! Last time, talking to Niall I forgot how to speak, this time meeting Liam, I was able to tell him how big of a fan I am. Both of them were SO nice. I thanked them for sticking around to take a picture with me and Rita was sad when I had to walk away! I'm still on cloud 9.
