Ed Sheeran Reveals Elton John Song, Filmed Anniversary Show & Teases '='

Ed Sheeran joins Elvis Duran in the studio to talk all about his upcoming album '=' coming out October 29th as well as personal moments with Elton John and he teases a filmed 10 year anniversary show.

Singer and songwriter, Ed Sheeran has put out hit after hit. Some he knew was going to be amazing right off the bat, others like 'Shape Of You,' he actually tried to hand off to Rihanna. We are always so impressed by Sheeran's work and so far after hearing Bad Habits and Shivers, we know this album will be just as great. "I'm grateful I've sort of lasted," Sheeran says commenting on upcoming artists. Instead of writing what he wrote about on his first album which was about when he was 18 as is the age of the top artists now, he tells Elvis that he'll be writing about his thirties, being a father etc.

Sheeran teases songs 'First Times,' and sings it for us live (listen below). He says he thought of the song after playing a show, coming off stage and feeling "nothing." He went back to his room, asked for Cherry, "we had a beer and I realized this is what life is about." After singing the song leaving the morning show in tears, Sheeran actually says that's not even the 'wedding song' off the album. "The Joker And The Queen is the real wedding song," he says.

Sheeran also teases that he has a song with Elton John coming out "after both" their albums come out. He also shares with us how him and Elton call each other every day and Elton was there for him when his friend passed away in March. "I'll get emotional talking about it," Sheeran says.

Sheeran also explains his love for Lil Nas X, as well as teases that a 10 year anniversary concert has been filmed! You can now pre-order Ed Sheeran's 4th studio album ‘=‘ which comes out October 29th!
