Bebe Rexha Says Doja Cat Is 'A Sweetheart' After Collaboration

Bebe Rexha is joining us on Elvis Duran and the Morning Show, Friday, to talk all about how she’s been doing during the pandemic, her new song ‘Baby, I’m Jealous,’ and working with Doja Cat.

"I started painting. I'm not a painter at all," Bebe tells Elvis Duran Friday morning while talking about what she's been up to in the pandemic. As far as making music Bebe explains that 'it's not the same.' She continues, "We’ll do zoom sessions, but someones usually playing the guitar, piano, someone’s coming up with the lyric, but you can’t do that on Zoom and it’s really awkward... It's just a mess."

Despite the obstacles, Bebe managed to put out a sick song featuring Doja Cat. "We wanted to uplift people, and being a little more fun and colorful and not being so serious." When asked about collaborating with Doja Cat, Bebe said "She's a sweetheart. I’m lucky to work with a lot of nice people. but not only is she nice and talented but we got along. She’s a cool girl and we actually had fun. She’s funny. So I had a good time."

Their song together 'Baby, I'm Jealous' is out now, but Bebe wouldn't let us play the song without describing what it's about. "I went on the deep dive when I was dating this wonderful man, and I found some things I don’t like. I saw some messages and comments and I was very jealous of what this guy was doing. He was liking all these Instagram models..." Therefore, Bebe wrote a song about being jealous and social media!
