Ed Sheeran stopped by Elvis Duran and the Morning Show today to celebrate his new album, Subtract, the last album in his Mathematics series and talked about his upcoming U.S. tour!
Following his emotional court case over his song "Thinking Out Loud," Ed Sheeran shared his thought and emotions with us.
The singer-songwriter told Elvis Duran, "One thing that felt like the biggest win for me was afterwards Kathryn Griffin-Townsend and her family came up to me and hugged me and said 'We believe you.' It's never a nice thing winning and someone else losing, but walking away knowing I did the right thing and they believed me was the biggest win... On both sides it takes a massive toll, both personally and financially. It's about heart and integrity and that's why I fought it. I can't be accused of something I didn't do and I had to prove that."
Later, Sheeran discussed his new docu-series on Disney+, The Sum Of It All, and how he and his wife Cherry came to the decision to let fans into their private life. He went on to explain that Subtract feels different than other albums he has done, but it was something he had to release at the point he was in in his life.
Sheeran also performed "Eyes Closed" in an intimate acoustic set for us. Watch the interview in the video player above and his performance below.
