Philanthropist, activist and entrepreneur, Cynthia Germanotta is joined us on Elvis Duran and the Morning Show Friday.
As the president of the Born This Way Foundation, we love having her on our show to talk about supporting the wellness of young people, and empowering them to create a kinder and braver world. Part of this is teaming up with Find Your Anchor for a 'Please Stay' initiative. Please Stay was created as a response to the devastating increase in rates of depression, suicide, and anxiety disorders among young people in 2020.
CDC data indicates one-in-four young people between the ages of 18 and 24 say they’ve considered suicide, and more than 40% have experienced a mental or behavioral health condition connected to the pandemic. They have created PleaseStay.us suggestions for anchors (An anchor is something you can hold on to for another day or minute — it doesn’t have to be groundbreaking, it can be a smile from a stranger, steak tacos, rugby...) and soul-filling activities, and a pledge asking you to promise to stay.
Watch our interview with Cynthia above and please consider taking the pledge or sharing the message. You never know who might need it!
