Erin Troup wanted to shine a light on his neighbor, Vietnam veteran Philip Edward Smith.
Being he served our country I know we all on this show feel like he deserves everything the world can give back to him. Unfortunately, that’s not how life is for a lot of veterans.
Philip has been struggling and hasn’t been able to get essential repairs done to his roof, and instead has had to cover it with a tarp.
But, as of Wednesday (as a wonderful Veteran’s Day gift), River City Roofing company gifted him a free brand-new roof.
They have done this for a veteran a year, for the past 4 years.
Philip is incredibly grateful, and I think the photo of him watching them repair his new roof proves it!
