Meg Aponte wanted me to shine a light on a 9-year-old boy in her neighborhood named Alex Meyer.
This sweetheart is battling brain cancer, which would be enough to take anyone’s spirit at any age, but not Alex!
He instead wants to use this as an opportunity to help other children like him. He set a goal of collecting 1,000 toys to give kids going through similar issues, all being donated to Golisano Children’s Hospital for Christmas.
His ultimate goal is to give a kid in need, a smile.
He’s already collected hundreds of toys, and has an Amazon Wishlist with really affordable goodies so it’s easy to participate. You can also check out his Facebook page to donate.
