Family Can't Give Out Halloween Candy, Children In Area Give Back

This is my favorite story to come out of Halloween:

Cortney Thomas lives in a very popular trick or treating area. Unfortunately, she and her family weren’t able to participate this year, because their young daughter is battling cancer.

SO not wanting other kids to ring the doorbell and be disappointed, she put a sign out front that said, “Sorry no candy. Child with cancer, see you next year!”

Well, instead of moving onto the next house (as was expected), kids started taking their own candy out of their bags, and laying it in front of the sign! By the end of the night, there was a HUGE pile of candy on Courtney’s front lawn for her daughter, all left by the generosity of young children.

What a beautiful offering!
