The first official trailer for Disney+'s filming of Hamilton has been released.
Disney has paid a record of $75 million for the right to distribute the filming of the iconic Broadway show, Hamilton. The Broadway show grossed around $636 million and planned to release the show on film in October 2021, but decided to release it early, this July 3rd.
The filming of the show was done two weeks before Lin-Manuel Miranda, Leslie Odom Jr. and the entire original cast left the Broadway production.
“I’m so grateful to move up our release to July 4th weekend of this year in light of the world turning upside down," he shared in a statement. "I’m so grateful to all the fans who asked for this and I’m so glad that we’re able to make it happen. I’m so proud of this show. I can’t wait for you to see it."
