The Japanese company Bourbon isn’t known for their whiskey! Bourbon typically specializes in chocolate, but according to Sora News, they are now expanding their product line to include mayonnaise! This isn’t any ordinary mayonnaise, it’s mayonnaise in slices!
Bourbon had originally developed sliced chocolate a few years ago. The company is now getting set to introduce two new “sheet-like condiments” to its Kantan Cooking (“Simple Cooking”) lineup.
The mayonnaise slices include flavors such as a tuna mayonnaise sheet and a mayonnaise and mentaiko (spicy cod roe) flavor.
Bourbon suggests using the slices in the morning, “since you can slap a slice down on a piece of bread, stick it in the toaster oven, and have a hot, tasty breakfast with just seconds of prep time.”
Along with the mayonnaise slices, the company is also planning to re-relase its slice chocolate, with a new recipe that offers an even richer flavor than their previous version. Bourbon suggests upgrading your chocolate slice experience by “adding banana slices and a dollop of whipped cream, turning your slice of toast into effectively an open-faced crepe.”
All the new flavors go on sale on March 2nd.
