Losing a pet is one of the hardest things someone can go through. Many of us have had to say goodbye to a beloved furry friend in our lives, but the way Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner lost their dog in NYC last week was just plain awful.
Elvis Duran offered up his condolences for the newly weds on Monday, July 29th, after the news broke that the couple's pup, Waldo, was killed in a freak traffic accident.
TMZ reports that their Alaskan Klee Kai was being walked by a dog walker in Manhattan's Lower East Side when the dog got away after being spooked and dashed into the street. An oncoming car hit and killed the animal, but just took off instead of stopping. While an accident report has been filed, the law sees the dog as 'property' and therefore the (still unidentified) driver cannot be criminally charged.
