Samuel L. Jackson is out promoting his upcoming action/comedy film Shaft. While on the red carpet for the film, Jackson answered a few questions from the Elvis Duran Show's Garret.
Jackson, who has starred as Nick Fury in the Avengers films, has an amazing friendship with members of the cast.. especially Black Widow aka Scarlett Johansson. "I can't," responds Jackson after being asked if he would officiate the wedding, "That's like a huge responsibility... asking two people to get together and stay together forever... Especially after someone has done it a few times.. that's not how it works."
Despite the shade, Jackson really is happy for his Avengers co-star. Johansson's publicist, Marcel Pariseau, confirmed the news that Johansson and SNL's Colin Jost are getting married after two years of dating. The actress was previously married to actor Ryan Reynolds and journalist Romain Dauriac, with who she has a daughter with - hence the joke from Jackson.
Jackson is starring in Shaft alongside legend Richard Roundtree as well as Regina Hall, Jessie Usher and more! Shaft is being released to theaters in the U.S. on June 14th by Warner Bros. Pictures.
