Read Danielle Monaro's Heartfelt Message To Her Kids On First Day of School

Elvis Duran's Danielle Monaro with her Children

The first day of school can be both joyous and bittersweet for parents who love to see their children grow into adults, but are sad that they're growing up too fast! Social media feeds are always flooded with adorable photographs of kids of all ages, most holding signs with cute personal details and the grade they are going into.

Elvis Duran and the Morning Show co-host Danielle Monaro was out today to celebrate, just like other parents across the country, her boys' first day of school!

She took to Instagram to commemorate the big day.  "Every year I say 'I can’t believe how big my boys are getting!' It’s soooo crazy how fast it goes," she wrote under a picture of Spencer, 13, and Preston, 7.

Listen to Danielle's call into the show today + her full post below... we're crying!

We stand in front of our front door for this picture every first day of school! I always take off work for this day. Every year I say “I can’t believe how big my boys are getting!”. It’s soooo crazy how fast it goes. 8th grade for Spencer (Senior year!) and Preston is now in the big school for 4th grade. It’s the only year they will be in the same school!!! Spencer gave his brother a pep talk this morning and it’s was the sweetest moment for me. I love you both sooo much. It’s an honor to be your mother and watch you grow into incredible young men. You make Dad and me so proud! Happy first day back to all the kids and parents! I hope you have a great year! ❤️#firsydayofschool
