The Chainsmokers stopped by Elvis Duran and the Morning Show to chat about their new single, "Side Effects," which also features singer Emily Warren on their new EP "Sick Boy...Side Effects."
The DJ and production duo told us how they love writing about millennial relationships, for better or worse.
"...I think that's basically the theme of almost all of our new songs" said Alex Pall. "Relating to the internet and how our generation interacts with each other on both a friendship and romantic level."
This past Sunday, July 28th, was the 2nd anniversary of the duo's hit single, "Closer" (Feat. Halsey). They told us how "Closer" was the first single that Andrew sang on and how it has made him comfortable singing on stage.
They also told us the craziest story about Fall Out Boy being hired by a rich Russian billionaire to play after a big show. Turns out they went to a stadium and played for only the guy and his girlfriend while they ate dinner. The best part? They were asked to play "Thnks fr th Mmrs" over and over again!
