Snapchat is getting a makeover!
The social media network is putting up a clear divide between snaps from friends and snaps from content creators and brands you follow. Swipe right for friends and left for brands. Easy, right?
Snap CEO Evan Spiegel wrote in an op-ed piece for axios.com, "...we are separating the social from the media, and taking an important step forward towards strengthening our relationships with our friends and our relationships with the media."
The revamp includes a new 'friends' page:
"We’ve also invented something new to make Snapchat feel even more personal: the dynamic Friends page. The new Friends page to the left of the camera displays your friends based on the way you communicate with them."
The Snapchat redesign comes after Snap Inc., the parent company of Snapchat, reported losses in the third quarter of 2017.
