Niall Horan stopped by Elvis Duran and the Morning Show to celebrate the release of his debut solo album, Flicker, out now!
"It's a representation of me. I kinda of wanted to write an album that came as natural as possible to me. I didn't want to over think anything."
He told us that even before he started working on it, he knew what he wanted it to sound like and exactly who he wanted to work with because the songs are very personal stories about his life. Niall actually didn't get signed until the after the album was already written.
Lately, Niall has been signing thousands of Flicker album covers for fans since it was released on October 20th. The Irish singer told us that he recently switched up his signature. Since going solo, and not having to give as many autographs as he did with One Direction, the 24-year-old musician wanted to make it "more special," which turned out to be longer.
How long does it take him to sign 2,000 albums? A quick 1.5 hours! He listens to music while getting it done and focuses on keeping his signature consistent!
Niall went on to sing praises of country artist Maren Morris, whom he collaborated with on the track "Seeing Blind." "She unbelievable," he told us about Maren. "It was a no-brainer for me getting her on the track."
Niall and Maren will perform "Seeing Blind" together for the first time ever, next month, at the 51st Annual Country Music Awards on November 8th.
You can catch Niall later this year hitting the road with our iHeartRadio Jingle Ball tour in Dallas, San Francisco, Los Angeles, St. Paul / Minneapolis, Philadelphia and New York City!
