Intern Michelle and I found ourselves all alone at the studios a few weeks ago.
The Elvis Duran crew were traveling to the opposite side of the country for Elvis to receive his star on the Walk of Fame in Hollywood and entrusted us to be left alone at the studio.
We got to the office a little earlier than usual and, as instructed, opened up an AIM chat with the one and only Yaritza Romero and Nate. Even while writing this, I cannot believe that my senior internship brought AIM back into my life. Truth be told, I didn’t even know AIM still existed! I then called the show’s phone number to make sure that the LA studio’s phone board was working correctly. And then called Yaritza to keep her on the line the entire show so she could listen along and know what was happening at all times of the show. Everything besides these few details should have allowed us to handle the show like every other show we’ve worked on. But somehow, Michelle and I found ourselves in a pickle when different sound bites needed to be uploaded to be used that day since they were not available to be uploaded before. I found myself working alone in the office while Michelle saved the day uploading the sound bites. Yaritza’s confidence in me made me feel like I would be fine.
After the show ended and we resumed our regularly scheduled duties, Intern Michelle and I found it necessary to blast long-awaited ÷ by Ed where we danced our butts off at the same time.
