Actor Jim Ward, best known for providing the voices of several characters on the Nickelodeon animated series The Fairly OddParents, has died at the age of 66, his wife, Janice, confirmed to TMZ.

Ward died of complications from advanced Alzheimer's at 10:45 a.m. local time at Silverado Beverly Place Memory Care in Los Angeles, where he was receiving treatment, according to his wife. Progressive radio host Stephanie Miller, who Ward worked with for 13 years as a co-host and announcer on The Stephanie Miller Show, also confirmed Ward's death in a post shared on her Instagram account Wednesday.

"Today I got one of the saddest messages I’ve ever received….from Mrs Jim Ward . 'Our wonderful 'voice deity' as Steph anointed Jim Ward, passed away today at 10:45AM. Can you let Steph know? Thanks, Janice' He was beyond brilliance," Miller wrote.

Ward played several characters on The Fairly OddParents, including Doug Dimmadome and Chet Ubetcha, appearing in 95 episodes throughout the series' run from 2001 to 2017. The voice actor also appeared on the Cartoon Network series Ben 10 and the video game series Ratchet and Clank as Captain Qwark.

Ward's death was reported shortly after fellow Nickelodeon voice actor Jeffrey Garcia, best known for voicing the character Sheen Estevez on the animated Jimmy Neutron film and television franchise, died at the age of 48.
