Major Voice Actor Leaving 'The Simpsons' After 35 Years

The Simpsons voice actor, who voiced one of the cartoon's most well-known and beloved characters is retiring from the show, and fans are devastated.

On the official Simpsons Instagram account, the show shared that Pamela Hayden, who voiced Milhouse for the last 35 years, is moving on. They wrote, "Thank you for 35 years of Milhouse and so many more, Pamela Hayden!"

And in a video posted to the Instagram page, Hayden said, "The time has come for me to hang up my microphone, but how do I say goodbye to The Simpsons?……not easily." She added, "It’s been an honor and a joy to have worked on such a funny, witty, and groundbreaking show, and to give voice to Milhouse and Jimbo Jones, Rod Flanders, Janey, Malibu Stacy, and many others."

Pamela also said, "I'll always have a special place in my heart for that blue-haired 10-year-old boy with glasses." She also commented on the Instagram post, "After much deliberation, I have decided to retire from The Simpsons to pursue other creative outlets. Thanks to everyone for your love and support!"

The Simpsons confirmed that Hayden's final performance will be Sunday, November 24th during the episode "Treehouse of Horror Presents: Simpsons Wicked This Way Comes."

Fans flooded the comments section to share their reactions, many who were wondering what is going to happen to Milhouse now, with one fan questioning, "Is this the end for Millhouse?" Another fan wrote on Pamela's Instagram post, which shows her with her Simpsons character, "Aww you can’t do us like that! My whole childhood retired. Time to be a grown up now!!!"

The show has not mentioned what will happen to Milhouse.
