Billionaire John Paulson is reportedly engaged to his much-younger fitness influencer girlfriend amid his ongoing bitter divorce battle.
Paulson, 68, who split with his wife, Jenny, after 21 years of marriage in 2021, has since been dating dietician Alina de Almeida, 35, who a source close to the couple confirmed is now his fiancée, even as the divorce proceedings continue, Page Six reports.
“John and Alina have been together for two and a half years. They are very happy together and have gotten engaged," the source said.
De Almeida was also recently referred to as Paulson's "fiancée" in an interview with Bloomberg News' Amanda L. Gordon in which the financier explained his support for former President Donald Trump's re-election campaign. The fitness influencer was also listed with Paulson as a host for a recent Palm Beach, Florida, event that raised more than $50 million for Trump.
Another source claimed that "the word 'fiancée' has been said" among Paulson and friends in reference to De Almeida, "but I don't think anyone has seen a ring," noting that the billionaire was "trying to be discreet so as not to get Jenny all riled up." Paulson, whose net worth is estimated to be at least $4.7 billion, remains in a divorce battle, despite leaving his wife three years ago.
Jenny was reported to be devastated by his decision at the time, which she was said to have learned by reading an article about it in Page Six, according to the outlet.
