Lady Gaga Reflects On Broken Engagement To Ex-Fiance Taylor Kinney

Lady Gaga looked back on her past relationship with ex-fiance Taylor Kinney.

The “Born This Way” singer-songwriter, who was previously engaged to the Chicago Fire actor many years ago, stepped out in her ex-lover's home state of Pennsylvania to perform at last night’s (November 2) drive-in rally in Pittsburgh before Election Day.

Before performing her song “You & I” at the political event, Gaga reminisced about her broken engagement with the 39-year-old hunk.

“I was engaged to a man from Lancaster, Pennsylvania,” the “911” superstar told the audience. “I know, I know. It didn’t work out. You know, I loved him so much. It just did not work out.”

The 34-year-old, who has publicly endorsed Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden, went on to send a playful shout-out to the 77-year-old, who is also a Pennsylvania native.

“I still love my Pennsylvania guy. I love Joe,” the Grammy-winner added, before quipping, “So, Joe’s my new Pennsylvania guy.”

As Little Monsters know, Gaga and Kinney actually became acquainted with each other on the set of the music video for “You & I” back in 2011.

Their love connection onscreen blossomed behind the scenes, as the couple began dating shortly after the visual’s release. Kinney popped the question to Gaga on Valentine’s Day in 2015. Sadly, the “Alejandro” superstar and her then-fiance called it quits after drifting apart.

The Oscar-winning actress touched on her heartbreak in the 2017 documentary, Gaga: Five Foot Two. At one point in the film, the pop icon breaks down in tears and seemingly suggested her breakup with Kinney may have been due to her burgeoning stardom. "I did a movie and lose Taylor," Gaga says in the film, referring to A Star Is Born. "This is the third time I’ve had my heart broken like this."
