Ed Sheeran Is Expecting First Child With Wife Cherry Seaborn: Report

Ed Sheeran and wife Cherry Seaborn are reportedly expecting their first child together.

As per The Sun, the pop chart-topper, 28, and wife, 28, are expecting a baby after getting pregnant amid the COVID-19 lockdown. "Ed and Cherry are over the moon. They're very excited, but have kept things very low-key," a source told the gossip outlet. "Lockdown was a perfect excuse not to be seen out and about too much, but things are getting closer and the excitement has been building so they have started telling friends and family. They’re just making the last of the preparations at home, and the baby is expected later this summer (in the UK)."

Seaborn reportedly shared the big news with her inner circle earlier this week. "It's a really happy time and their families are all totally delighted for them and cannot wait to meet the new arrival," the source added. Sheeran and Seaborn wed in January 2019, before the hitmaker announced a lengthy hiatus from music at the end of that year, following two plus years of touring. He confirmed the marriage in July 2019 in an interview with Charlamagne tha God and showed off the romance in his video for "Put It All On Me."

Earlier this month, Sheeran became candid in discussing his lifelong battle with addiction. In an appearance on an online summit on anxiety and well being for the Hay House Chasing the Present Summit, the pop star detailed his battle with addiction, whether it be food, alcohol or other things. "I have a very addictive personality. Very, very addictive personality," he confessed. "I'm reading Elton John's book at the moment and there are so many things that he did that I do. He would be like, ‘I would just go on an ice cream binge and eat four f***ing desserts until I throw it up’, and I was like, 'I've done that before’. Or his martini binges, where he sees how many he can drink. And I’m like, ‘I’ve done that before too’. He ends up getting really f***ing sad and depressed and all of these things can can add to that."
