Halsey or Ashley Frangipane, Attorney at Law?
The singer-songwriter made a surprising announcement about an exciting new endeavor. While everyone was firing up their grills or heading to the park (despite the coronavirus pandemic), the “Nightmare” musician spent her Memorial Day with her head in the books. As seen in her latest Instagram post, the superstar appears to be trying her hand at law — and a few new recipes in the kitchen, too.
“I took my brace off my ankle cause it was itchy and now I need to put it back. I made a quiche and fresh spinach butternut squash ravioli,” she captioned a series of snapshots on Monday (May 25), casually adding, “Law is fun but hard. Beautiful sky. Can’t stop watching avatar. and judging from the baby pic I’ve been a disassociating little freak who romanticizes the 70s for my whole life. That’s all, thank you.”
Among the photos she shared, fans quickly noticed the law tome she’s been reading lately. “Why are you studying constitution law? Any reason in particular or general curiosity?” one user commented, to which The “You Should Be Sad” artist revealed, “I’m studying for the bar exam!”
To say fans were impressed is a total understatement, and only time will tell just how serious Halsey is about taking the bar. According to a Reddit thread discussing the superstar’s law pursuits, one user noted, “In the state of California, you don't have to go to law school in order to take the bar exam. You just have to find a legal apprenticeship, pass the one-year student's law examination and then pass the bar. Also, California has the hardest bar exam in the country, making the pass rate only 54%.”
All the same, we're wishing Halsey the best of luck!
