Being a global DJ sensation, Diplo has been around hundreds of people in recent weeks, so the chart-topper is taking the appropriate measures to make sure health is a priority amongst the coronavirus outbreak.
On Monday (March 16), the recent Billboard cover star took to Instagram to share a lengthy note about the topic on everyone’s mind and admit he's self-quarantining from his sons, Lockett, 9, and Lazer, 5, as well as his grandmother, who all live together in Los Angeles. "This hurts because I miss them so much they are what makes me wake up every day and live and breath, they are my ultimate joy," Diplo captioned a clip of him putting his hands onto the glass walls of the LA residence, with his children on the other side."
To be clear, Diplo emphasized that he has not been diagnosed positive for COVID-19, but his sacrifice is to ensure that everyone around him is indeed safe. "Think about others in every decision you make in the coming weeks," he continued. "This isn't a drill. We already have enough news from Italy Iran Korea and China about the best ways to slow this.. We need to be smart, going out and interacting with groups is canceled, but kindess is not canceled, love is not canceled, empathy is not canceled. Happiness is not canceled... Stay strong for the ones who can't right now."
