Lauren Jauregui's New Song 'More Than That' To Drop Friday

We're in for a new Lauren Jauregui song as the former Fifth Harmony singer announced that her track, "More Than That," is scheduled to drop on Friday (January 11).

On Monday, the budding solo star took to Twitter to catch up with her followers and revealed that the sultry mid-tempo cut, which she previously performed at the MTV Elections Afterparty, is coming at the end of the week. Despite keeping her lips tight regarding the studio version of the song, the 22-year-old implied that the cover art for the single is a visual feast. "Wait till y'all see the cover art ur gonna scream," she wrote, before sharing what appears to be the angelic artwork on Tuesday afternoon.

"More Than That" follows the star's debut solo single, "Expectations." Coincidentally, the track will drop the same day as her fellow 5H alum Normani unveils her new collab with Sam Smith called "Dancing With A Stranger."

In our previous interview with Jauregui, the singer admitted that it took some time for her to find her own voice as she forged ahead with her solo career aspirations. "I think I just had aversion to try music because I was so nervous that I wouldn't be good enough at it because there's so many amazing artists out there, first of all, that I'm so inspired by," she said. "And second, it's just a really scary world of comparison on social media and now in the critic department. It's hard to want to begin a narrative from your soul when someone could really tear it down."
