Andrew Lloyd Webber, creator of some of the world's most famous musicals like Cats and Phantom of the Opera and Evita (just to name a few), stopped by to chat about his first memoir Unmasked, due out in March of 2018.
The 69-year-old British native told us that there is no formula for what makes a musical a smash success.
"The moment somebody says to me, 'That is the worst idea for a musical that I have ever, ever heard,' is the moment I get really excited about the subject.."
He also opened up about what he thinks is the best song written for a musical of all time! And no it's not Phantom's "Music Of The Night" (which he wrote), it is "Some Enchanted Evening" from Rodgers and Hammerstein's South Pacific.
So what's next for the great Andrew Lloyd Webber? He's working on the follow-up story to Phantom called Love Never Dies.
