Will the 'Dirty Dancing' Remake Be The Best TV Musical Yet? -- See The Promo

Dirty Dancing fans, mark your calendars! 📆

The 1987 classic movie remake is set to hit the small on May 24th for ABC's three-hour music event.

Dirty Dancing will join the ranks of recent TV movie / musical remakes like Rocky Horror Picture Show, Peter Pan, Grease, Sound of Music and The Wiz.

It's been 30-years since the late Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey brought us one of the best romantic comedies of all time. This time around Abigail Breslin will star as Baby Houseman alongside newcomer Colt Prattes as Johnny Castle.

The 30-second teaser gives us a taste of our favorite scenes from the original, including the lake scene and the infamous flying leap lift.

You can also look forward to the star-studded cast, Debra Messing as Marjorie Houseman, Nicole Scherzinger as Penny Rivera, Sarah Hyland as Lisa Houseman. And the film's highly recognizable soundtrack will get a facelift with new takes on "Time Of My Life," "Hungry Eyes," "Do You Love Me" and more.

Dirty Dancing premieres May 24 on ABC at 8 PM ET.
