Rammstein's Till Lindemann Tests Negative For COVID-19 After Trip To ICU

Fears that Rammstein frontman Till Lindemann was critically ill with COVID-19 have been allayed after the singer tested negative for the deadly virus.

"Yesterday evening Till Lindemann was admitted to a hospital on the band's doctor's advice," read a statement from the band. "He spent the night in intensive care but has been moved as he is feeling better. Till has tested negative for the coronavirus."

As of Friday morning, Germany had the fifth-most confirmed coronavirus cases in the world — behind the United States, Italy, China and Spain — but mysteriously only a fraction of the death rate of those other nations.

Rammstein is scheduled to begin a tour of Europe in late-May then return to the United States in August for its first North American tour in years.

The band released its seventh studio album last May.
