Selena Gomez Teases Empowering New Song ‘RARE’: Hear The Snippet

Selenators rejoice!

On Friday (December 13), Selena Gomez gave fans a snippet of her brand-new song, “RARE” off her upcoming album by the same name.

The song tease comes just one day after the 27-year-old announced her album, on social media. RARE has been a long time coming as it marks her first album since 2015's Revival. “It’s the most honest music I’ve ever made and I can’t wait for you to hear my heart,” she wrote in her announcement post.

Judging by the couple of lyrics we hear in the new song, “RARE” is all about knowing one's self-worth even if someone else (like a love interest) doesn't see it. “It feels like/You don't care/Why don't you recognize/I'm so rare” she sings in the video snippet. This is the type of positive, empowering energy we wanna see going into 2020, Sel!

She's yet to give us a date when the song is dropping but it's going to be SOON! In the meantime, we can all just rewatch the music videos for "Lose You To Love Me” and "Look At Her Now” ten thousand more times!

Along with the singles she's already released, Gomez also treated fans to the track list of RARE while announcing the release date (January 10). RARE also includes, "Dance Again," "Ring," "Vulnerable," "People You Know," "Let Me Get Me," "Kinda Crazy," "Fun," "Cut You Off," "Crowded Room (Feat. 6LACK)," and "A Sweeter Place (Feat. Kid Cudi)."

Gomez recently stopped by iHeartRadio HQ to gush about RARE. “I sound like such a nerd, but I cannot wait for this to come out,” she told us. SAME GIRL!
