Jake Brennan Takes Us Behind True Crime Podcast “Disgraceland”

There’s something about true crime podcasts we can’t get enough of. Jake Brennan stopped by On Air With Ryan Seacrest and took us behind his tantalizing iHeartRadio podcast Disgraceland.

Disgraceland explores the alleged true crime antics and criminal connections of the biggest and most notorious musicians.

“It took me about six months to write the first episode and produce it,” Jake shared. “It’s a music and true crime podcast and I try to tell the stories of these musicians through the crimes they’ve either committed or have happen to them rather than just tell the history of them they’ve told in the past.”

Disgraceland has explored the lives of Jerry Lee Lewis, Tupac Shakur, Amy Winehouse, N.W.A, Led Zeppelin, A$AP Rocky, Iggy Pop, Eminem and more.

“I think it’s a vulnerability thing,” Jake said of people’s obsession. “I think people feel vulnerable and these stories freak them out and especially when they’re about people they may know and already have an established feeling about, these folks to them, there’s other stories that have happened in the process, it’s really intriguing and interesting.”
