Why Prince Harry Is 'On A Different Planet' Since Marrying Meghan Markle

Prince Harry has reportedly undergone quite the personal transformation since marrying Meghan Markle in 2018. According to royal expert Duncan Larcombe, the 34-year-old royal is "worlds away" from the "cheeky" young prince the public fell in love with.

“He’s on a different planet from the Harry we’ve seen develop from a teen to an adult to an army officer to the most popular member of the royal family. It’s worlds away from how Harry has been for his life," Larcombe told The Sun. “Harry is saying all the right things but saying them in a way that is so un-Harry, that perhaps people who have identified with him for years are thinking ‘what’s going on?’ ‘What’s gotten into Harry?’”

Though some royal watchers and even some of Harry's friends have been surprised by the change they've seen in Harry, he's reportedly the happiest he's ever been. Larcombe even went on to call his marriage to Meghan a "true love story," adding that Harry is "still caught in a whirlwind romance and when people do get married they do change.”

One of the ways Harry has supposedly changed since marrying Meghan? The happily married couple reportedly like to pop out for pedicures and massages at the Coworth Park Hotel in Ascot while baby Archie naps. Harry's also reportedly cut down on his drinking and smoking since he met Meghan, as well.

“It just seems such a stark contrast to the Harry we used to know. Maybe he’s such a treasured figure in the public eye, maybe the public don’t want to see a change in him," Larcombe continued, claiming Meghan's influence is why the pair have faced backlash for some of their choices recently. “But barely a day goes by that I don’t read something they’ve said or seen something they’ve done. You can make a whole list of the points, from not revealing who the godparents are, not allowing a fixed point for the media at the christening.Certain people are being given enough ammunition to fire against the two of them."

A few of Harry's friends from the military spoke to Larcombe, as well, criticizing the royal's lifestyle changes. “Pedicures and massages? He’s changed!” one anonymous friend said. Another added: “Harry used to be a proper bloke — dodgy dress sense, liked a drink and didn’t care how he looked. In his army days he would have laughed if someone had offered him a pedicure. Now he’s pontificating about saving the world and doesn’t smoke or drink.”

While some people have an issue with how Harry has changed since settling down with Meghan and baby Archie, it seems like the only thing that should matter is if the Duke of Sussex is happy, which he certainly appears to be.
