Watch Halsey Burst Into Tears During Performance After G-Eazy Split

It was an emotional time for Halsey during her headlining set at Common Ground music festival in Lansing, Michigan Friday night (July 6). The pop star burst into tears during her performance of "Sorry," the piano ballad off her album hopeless fountain kingdom.

The breakdown came just days after she and "Him & I" collaborator G-Eazy pulled the plug on their relationship after a year of dating.

The 23-year-old singer was the one to break the news of their split on social media on July 3.

“I normally keep this kind of thing private but provided our public nature I feel the need to inform my fans,” Halsey shared on an Instagram story. “G-Eazy and I are taking some time apart.”

“I’m eager to continue the upcoming passage of time dedicating myself to my art and my career, and the duration of my tour,” she concluded. “I wish him the best. Thanks for respecting our privacy at this time.”

The 29-year-old rapper has kept quiet about the break up, and though Halsey's statement seemed amicable enough her activity on social media has proven otherwise. The same day she announced their split, she posted a photo of her alongside her dog with the caption “Kiss my dog on the forehead and then kiss ur ass goodbye. ✅”

She also posted a since-deleted tweet of a pair of scissors and the words "pumpkin eater" which could imply her relationship with G-Eazy ended because of infidelity.
