Listen To Christina Aguilera's Female Empowerment Duet With Demi Lovato

posted by James Dinh -

Christina Aguilera's long-awaited new album, Liberation, is scheduled to drop on June 15 and the pop veteran has released another taste of the upcoming LP called "Fall In Line" featuring Demi Lovato.

As one would expect, "Fall In Line" is a four-minute powerhouse track with the big-voiced divas singing about the value of female empowerment and worth. "Little girls, listen closely'/ Cause no one told me/ But you deserve to know/ That in this world, you are not beholden/ You do not owe them/ Your body and your soul," Aguilera sings in the first verse. Minimal on production, courtesy of hitmaker Jon Bellion, the song begins slow and steady until it snowballs into a huge sing-off between Aguilera and Lovato. By the end of the track, it’s almost difficult to distinguish the pairs' voice, but it still works with the colossal peak in production and sudden silence that emerges after the duo churns out one final chorus.

You can catch the pair offer up the debut live performance of the track at the 2018 BBMA, which will be hosted by Kelly Clarkson live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Sunday, May 20, at 8 PM ET / 5 PM PT on NBC.

Bellion teased his participation in the track in April when he replied to a tweet about his rumored production. "Its not supposed. I produced it," he wrote along with the laughing emoji. Bellion might not be a household name, but he's one of the many collaborators behind a couple of notable hits, including Eminem and Rihanna's "The Monster" as well as Jason Derulo's "Trumpets."
