Christian Liden from Washington had this idea when he was a little kid that when he proposes to his partner, it’s going to be with a ring he made using gold and diamonds he mined himself.
He doesn’t have the girl yet, but Christian traveled 2,000 miles to Arkansas to Crater of Diamond State Park, and 3 days into mining her actually found one!
A 2.2 yellow carat diamond, the biggest one that’s been found there in a long time.
Next he’s going to Nevada to find some Opal, so maybe I’ll get to see him there on my trip next week!
Again, Christian doesn’t have the lucky lady just yet but with all the thought and care going into this ring, she’s a lucky lady.
