Throughout all this madness and uncertainty, I am pleased to say kids have been knocking it out of the park with their acts of empathy and helpful deeds!
Madeline Bancroft wanted me to feature her friends in Cresskill New Jersey: 11-year-old Tyler Thomas McNulty, and his 8-year-old brother James. With the help of their parents Steve and Janette, these boys decided they wanted to do something for the doctors and nurses putting their lives at risk to help others, so they started making what they call, “care kits!”
They make little bags including snacks, drinks, personal care items, a thank you note and a hand drawn picture to brighten their day, and distribute them to local hospitals. So far they have given out over 100! I am just so impressed by what these two young boys have done for their local healthcare workers.
