Katy Perry made a huge announcement yesterday, March 5th. In a music video for her new song "Never Worn White," Perry reveals she is expecting her first baby with fiancé, Orlando Bloom.
Throughout the video, Perry is posing in a number of outfits including a beautiful white dress. It isn't until moments before the video ends that the singer reveals her baby bump through a see-through gown with her hands cradling her stomach.
"How else would I have done it," laughs Perry to Elvis Duran in new phone interview, "This is the way I communicate." Perry continues to Elvis saying, "I communicate through music, it was a nice way to show the works... this very vulnerable moment. Hey guys, this is a real invitation of being a song writer."
Perry adds "This summer is going to be very jam packed... I'm really going to be a working mom." She won't be able to do it all without the support of her fiancé and Perry is clear that their opposite personalities make their relationship work. "I'm a control freak," Perry confides in Elvis, "It’s nice to be with someone that sharpens you. If there’s friction it’s good it only creates this beautiful electricity."
Perry and Bloom have been engaged since Valentine's Day 2019. They began dating in 2016 and split less than a year after, coming back together in 2018. There isn't an official wedding date yet, but stay tuned!
