Ciara Admitted That NFL Hubby, Russell Wilson, Helps Write Her Songs

Fresh off the Met Gala red carpet, Ciara stopped by Elvis Duran and the Morning Show to celebrate releasing her seventh studio album, Beauty Marks, on May 10th. It's the first record she's releasing on her personal label of the same name.

"I'm really proud because I've been grinding and working so hard," Ciara told Elvis Duran. "I think one of the most important factors I've learned in all of this is the power of believing in yourself."

The Grammy Award-winning artist also opened about how she sometimes bounces lyrics off of her NFL hubby Russell Wilson, quarterback for the Seattle Seahawks. "He could sue you!" Elvis joked about how Russell deserves writing credits on her album, but Ciara clarified that he only helps with a word here or there, not enough to be credited for his input!

"My husband, I will say, I go to him for a lot of cool moments or when I'm having thoughts like, 'Am I thinking something right? Am I thinking something left?' And he's really creative. He's super focused and committed and driven in football, but still at the same time, he has such a creative mind. We also just recently announced our production company, Why Not You Productions. We're doing really fun stuff there. So [it's] an opportunity where we get to create and collaborate together. But I do sometimes say, 'Babe, what do you think about this? What do you think about this line?' And I swear to you, he always has the best word to insert."
