This is a truly beautiful tribute.

Linkin Park and Chester Bennington dedicated an incredible performance of "One More Light," the title track from their latest album of the same name, to their friend Chris CornellThe performance was a part of Jimmy Kimmel's summer concert series.

Linkin Park's album hit shelves on May 19th, just one day after the Soundgarden and Audioslave singer was found dead in his Detroit hotel room.

Chester addressed the crowd, "We were going to come out and play heavy first, but in light of our dear friend Chris Cornell passing away, we decided to play our song 'One More Light' in honor of his to start this off. We love you, Chris."

Bennington was found dead in Los Angeles this morning of an apparent suicide by hanging.

Today would have been Chris Cornell's 53rd birthday.
