THE GIRL REPORT: Puma Sues Forever 21 Over Replica Rihanna Designs

Forever 21 better have Rihanna's money!

Forever 21 is in the hot seat because Puma is suing the affordable fashion brand over their replica designs of the Fenty shoe line by Rihanna. The lawsuit specifies design patent, trade dress, and copyright infringement of three copycat designs, including Bow Slides, Creepers and Fur Slides.

Earlier this year, Puma faced off with Top Shop over similar claims of a copycat design.

A judge recently denied Puma's initial request to get Forever 21 to cease their sales of the shoes in question, claiming that Puma failed to fully prove immediate irreparable harm.

Rihanna has served as Puma's brand ambassador and guest creative director since 2014.

This isn't the first time Forever 21 has found itself in a legal battle. Previously, they have been sued by H&M, DVF, Harajuku Lovers and more.
