Mexican authorities found drug lord Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman over the weekend. You remember how he escaped from prison last year through a hole in the bathroom floor. But the big story is that Sean Penn revealed he met with El Chapo last fall in the middle of the jungle and interviewed him for seven hours for Rolling Stone. The meeting was brokered by Mexican telenovela star Kate Del Castillo. Mexican authorities ended up investigating both actors and intercepting Penn’s communications with El Chapo, and that’s what led to his capture.
David Bowie has died. He just turned 69 on Friday, the same day he released his newest album “Blackstar.” He’d been battling cancer for 18 months although he never talked about it publicly. And a pregnant woman in California got a little extra protein in her salad…from a human fingertip. Cathleen Martin was eating with her husband and child at a Paso Robles Applebees when she ordered a Chinese chicken salad. At some point during the meal, a bloodied human fingertip was discovered. A manager at the Applebees confirmed the extra meat came from one of the cooks. Martin is in the process of filing a lawsuit, seeking unspecified damages, medical expenses and lost income.
